The Valley of Fear

The game is afoot yet again. After receiving a mysterious message, Sherlock properly deciphers it as “some deviltry is intended against one Douglas”. Moments later, Inspector Macdonald delivers the news that Mr. Douglas has been brutally murdered with a sawed-off shotgun. Holmes and Watson see to the case with the strange inkling that a more powerful criminal is lurking behind it.
